Club Development information Seminar- Aviva Stadium

Calling all sports clubs in Dublin and Wicklow! Sign up for a one-day Club Development Information Seminar at Aviva Stadium on Saturday 28th August 2010. Organised by the four Dublin Local Sports Partnerships and Wicklow Local Sports Partnership, it is aimed at local sports club members who are involved in running their clubs. The event will run from 9.30am to 3.45pm, and consists of four one-hour workshops on Garda Vetting & Child Protection in Sport, Influencing local Sport, Committee Structures & Roles and Fundraising & Grants. Delegates should typically be sports clubs members including administrators, committee members, coaches and volunteers who are involved in the running or governance of sports clubs. After the workshops, attendees will be treated to a tour of the wonderful new Aviva Stadium facility. Minister for Children, Barry Andrews TD will open the seminar and a number of high-profile sports personalities such as former Olympian and current CEO of the Irish Sports Council, John Treacy and former Olympic gold medalist boxer Michael Carruth will also be in attendance to address club delegates.
